Flynn community groups are seeking an urgent meeting with ACT Government ministers following a shock Anzac Day announcement for Flynn Primary School that appears to leave the Flynn community out in the cold again.
A community-led plan for a multi-use community hub at Flynn Primary School including one childcare provider and a community school was greeted with enthusiastic support at last night’s meeting of the Belconnen Community Council. Architect Enrico Taglietti also re-affirmed the high heritage value of the Flynn School.

The ACT Government has missed another opportunity to regain community trust in its refusal to re-open Flynn Primary School despite new information and community support.
The National Trust welcomes the response by the ACT Government to continue using the heritage listed schools at Hall and Tharwa for educational purposes, but it is still very concerned over the future of the Flynn School.
