Flynn Preschool Parents Association

The Flynn Preschool Parent Association began in the mid-1970s. The preschool opened with Flynn Primary School in January 1974, shortly after the Preschool Parent Association reached the financial target set by the government of the day.

The Flynn Preschool Parent Association is one of the oldest community groups in Flynn. It owns and is completely responsible for the provision and management of the preschool’s teaching and educational resources and for the day-to-day financial and operational management of preschool. The ACT Government provides the teaching staff and purpose-built facilites.

An annual family fun day has become an important event on the Flynn community calendar, raising essential funds for the preschool. It also gives the Flynn community an opportunity to celebrate the preschool.

All parents with enrolled children automatically become members of the Flynn Preschool Parent Association.

Children from Flynn Preschool can go on to attend any one of the primary schools in the Northwest Belconnen Region. Flynn children have priority enrolment at Charnwood and Mount Rogers primary schools.
