The ACT Heritage Council decided aginst accepting Flynn’s nomination for listing on the ACT Heritage Register. The decision was made in a ameeting on 24 June, 2010. The ACT Heritage Unit advised the John Flynn Community Group in a letter written on 28 June (4 days later). The Flynn P&C has not been advised in writing.

The nomination covered Flynn Primary School, Preschool, Health Centre and grounds, and relevant parts of George Simpson Park (Block 7 and 6 (part), Section 18).
