Did you wonder what became of the Purdon’s consultation last year, and how that will affect Flynn? The official government response is currently:

“The Government is still considering the recommendations of the Purdon Report and no decision has been made on any of the former school sites. The Government is conscious that Flynn Primary is subject to court proceedings and no decision will be taken until those proceedings are finalised. In relation to the application for Heritage Listing, it is not the Government’s practice to fast-track any decision to avoid a site being Heritage-listed, and we would certainly not do this in relation to the former site of Flynn Primary.” (Katy Gallahger)

The government made no comment on when the Purdon report will be made available.
