We asked the Greens for help following the ACT Government’s decision to call-in the childcare development.
Here’s the emails showing their response.

Subject: RE: Flynn DA – some notes from our conversation
Hi,
I would prefer not to say ‘unlawful’ use of the power because I would really have to study the act. I don’t believe I said it yesterday. I have suggested new words below.
Regards
caroline
I told you about the call-in of the Flynn DA by Katy Gallagher, and sent you the media release to show it was true. You were not impressed and you didn’t believe it met the criteria to warrant being called in. We agreed that, on that basis, it was appeared to be an inappropriate use of the power.
I asked you if there was anything you (the Greens) could do to help, and you didn’t think so. You mentioned that Mr Corbell had been reported in the media as saying that the Pitch ‘n’ Putt DA at Woden might also be called in. If that happened then you might be able to send out a press release about the ACT Government’s inappropriate use of call-in powers. You didn’t seem to think the Greens would make any statement about Flynn specifically, or do anything else to apply some (political) pressure to the Government. You stated that in ‘calling in’ the Flynn development the Government was making a very clear political statement that it intended to proceed with the development and this means that it is unlikely that political pressure would change the government’s resolve at this stage.

Subject: Flynn DA – some notes from our conversation
Dear Caroline,
Thank you for your time yesterday afternoon. I was just writing up note from our discussion yesterday afternoon and wanted to run it past you to make sure it is accurate before sending it out to the Flynn community. Please let me know if I have misrepresented anything as it can be hard to accurately summarise a long conversation.
Regards,
I told you about the call-in of the Flynn DA by Katy Gallagher, and sent you the media release to show it was true. You were not impressed and you didn’t believe it met the criteria to warrant being called in. We agreed that, on that basis, it was possibly an unlawful use of the power.
I asked you if there was anything you (the Greens) could do to help, and you didn’t think so. You mentioned that the pitch ‘n’ putt DA (is that right?) at Woden might also be called in. If that happened then you might be able to send out a press release about the ACT Government’s inappropriate use of call-in powers. You didn’t seem to think the Greens could make any statement about Flynn specifically, or do anything else to apply some (political) pressure to the Government.
