A motion to re-open Flynn, Cook, Hall and Tharwa was announced at Flynn Primary School today. The Liberals plan to put the motion to the Assembly in the next sitting (in mid-October).
There’s a brief report on ABC online.
The Greens initial response was less than supportive of closed schools. They indicated they would not support the motion, that no schools would re-open, and that it was just a stunt that was doomed to failure.
Andrew Barr has already said he will not open schools. Regardless, the Greens want to wait for the government’s reponse to the Inquiry, which is three months away—just in time for Christmas.
