The sixth large tree illegally hacked down at Flynn Primary School site over the past week has brought further calls for the ACT government to restore security and take urgent steps to protect the site.

The ACT Government has admitted to removing a memorial plaque and concreting over the Flynn name on a National Memorial celebrating the centenary of the birth of the Reverend John Flynn, founder of the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Apparently this is the first time a government has desecrated a National Memorial.
On the ABC TV and news last night, the ACT Government has admitted to removing the memorial plaque to the Rev John Flynn of the Royal Flying Doctor Service, and concreting over the Flynn name on the memorial in the Canberra Suburb of Flynn.
